Parent Organization and Provider Overview
There are two main types of Providers: Parent Organization and Provider.
The Difference Between Parent Organizations and Providers
- Parent Organizations are larger umbrella organizations that manage one or more Providers underneath it.

- An example of a Parent Organization is a non-profit organization that manages five different daycare centers.

 - Providers are smaller establishments that provide a service at a physical location.

- An example of a Provider is one single daycare center or one single nursing home.

 - Both Parent Organizations and Providers are considered providers in Casebook.
 - A Parent Organization’s provider profile has a slightly different layout than Provider’s profile.
 - Note: You are not able to create a service under a Parent Organization. Services may only be linked to a Provider.
