Parent Organization and Provider Overview

Parent Organizations are larger umbrella organizations that manage one or more Providers underneath it.
- An example of a Parent Organization is a non-profit organization that manages five different daycare centers.
Providers are smaller establishments that provide a service at a physical location.
- An example of a Provider is one single daycare center or one single nursing home.
Both Parent Organizations and Providers are considered providers in Casebook.
A Parent Organization’s provider profile has a slightly different layout than Provider’s profile.
Note: You are not able to create a service under a Parent Organization. Services may only be linked to a Provider.

From the Provider Record, navigate to the Provider section.
Select the Pencil Icon to edit that section.
In the Parent Organization field, begin typing the name of the Parent Organization that you wish to link this Provider to.
Select the Parent Organization from the drop-down list.
Select Save.

From the Parent Organization Record, navigate to the Provider section.
Select the Pencil Icon to edit that section, then select Add Provider.
Begin typing the name of the Provider that you wish to link this Parent Organization to.
Select the Provider from the drop-down list.
Select Save.

There are two main types of Providers: Parent Organization and Provider.
