[Custom Reports](https://gohub.casebook.net/knowledge/reporting#custom-reports) # How to Build a Custom Report: Race and Ethnicity From the Custom Reports tab in cb Reporting, follow the steps below to create a report to show data relating to the number of clients by race and ethnicity.  1. Select **+ Visulaization** ![2-1](https://gohub.casebook.net/hs-fs/hubfs/2-1.png?width=688&name=2-1.png) 3. Select the data source that you use, **Casebook Platform![3-1](https://gohub.casebook.net/hs-fs/hubfs/3-1.png?width=688&name=3-1.png)** 4. Navigate down to the **Views** tab and select the **people** database, then click **Select Data![4](https://gohub.casebook.net/hs-fs/hubfs/4.png?width=688&name=4.png)** 5. You are now brought to the report builder. To create the report, drag and drop "**race**" into the Rows Section, "**hispanic\_or\_latino**" into the Columns section, and "**person\_id**" into the Values section. ![5](https://gohub.casebook.net/hs-fs/hubfs/5.png?width=422&name=5.png) 6. Navigate to the **Settings** tab and check **Show Grand Totals![7-1](https://gohub.casebook.net/hs-fs/hubfs/7-1.png?width=420&name=7-1.png)** 8. You can now adjust any row or column heights/widths as necessary for visual purposes 9.
